Established in 2018 in Middlesbrough, NE England by Daniel Wade, we are a dedicated team with over 30 years of experience in the Construction Industry. Originally focusing on the pharmaceutical industry, we have grown steadily expanding into other sectors including Healthcare, Commercial and Residential builds.
At Wade we ultimately want to find the best way possible to deliver better for our clients. Joe has worked in the oil and gas business for 40 years, with the last 25 at the management level. Joe’s vast knowledge has been gained by working abroad and mixing with different cultures, this has given Joe an extremely broad work-based experience that Wade CM will benefit from. He is also a champion in all HSEQ matters and is a great believer in mentoring colleagues into positions of responsibility to meet their personal development needs. Joe, as Construction Manager takes control for the overall responsibility of monitoring and organising the construction (and demolition) activities and will lead a team of Construction Co-ordinators on a new £60 million pharmaceutical project, taking the responsibility for the end-to-end service delivery. Acting as the key day-to-day project interface, Joe will ensure the project objectives are met, delivered on time, within cost targets and to the highest safety and quality standards.
David is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor who has wide experience of the construction industry through being involved in projects and programme of projects across many sectors and a various levels of the supply chain, from Client side (buying the work), to Main Contractors and Subcontracting companies (providing the work) and consultants (managing and oversight of the works). David’s professional ethos and support to Wade CMC is to use experience to provide diligence at the right time on the right matter and therefore to improve certainty of meeting project objectives. David favours collaborative approaches to construction where Client needs are met by an engaged and respected contractors, and where risks to all involved in a project are openly discussed so that they can be dealt with, rather than contractual passed or poorly understood.
George is currently working on one of our projects for the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Wade Construction Management involved in a wide range of projects including Pharmaceutical, Clean Rooms, Chemical, Petrochemical, Gas Plants, Biodiesel, Offshore Hook-ups and Decommissioning, Rig Conversions Food etc. Initially from a piping background before moving on to construction management off all trades. Including multidiscipline EPC projects from civil to mechanical completion on Green/Brown field sites including working in live production areas. As home-based Construction engineer assist with developing construction philosophes during FEED studies before moving onto detailed design. This included site visits prior to the projects starting to carry out site surveys and to produce initial reports. Attending HAZID/HAZOP’s, design and peer reviews when required.
Derek is currently working on our flagship pharmaceutical project for GSK. Derek’s experience, prior to coming aboard with Wade Construction Management, he utilised his 20+ years of experience for Tier 1 contractors all over the world and in a variety of sectors, from South America to Scandinavia, Europe to MENA, working in the Oil and Gas to Renewables, Petrochemical to Pharmaceutical sectors. Derek also controlled the world’s first EPC contracts from pipe laying vessels to SMR installations, Subsea to Subsurface fabrications. Originally coming from a Structural background before moving into Construction Management, Derek has managed a multiskilled, multinational trade personnel in highly regulated sectors. Whilst office based he helped to apply cutting edge installation techniques and design implementation for Hydrogen Reformers to Outlet Header feeds, chairing scheduled design and installation reviews.
Keith Nicholson Has over 15 years’ experience of working in a range of project, management, governance and leadership roles. Keith has delivered a range of capital and revenue projects of varying size and complexity as well as securing project funding across a range of sectors, including health, sports, homelessness, young people, early years and social enterprise. Keith is also able to work through constitutional matters and company secretarial work. His experience extends to strategic business planning, management support and change management. Keith support’s Wade CM as a consultant for our projects and specialises in site development, land and planning matters, medium sized commercial buildings construction as well as fitting out and acts as client's representative for a number of clients.
Emma worked her way up through the ranks in the development team of one of the largest social landlords in the UK to senior project manager, overseeing the delivery of multi-million-pound projects. Her experience ranges from new build through to complex demolitions and refurbishments, working on general needs housing schemes, assisted living schemes and with Homes England. Since joining the private development sector, Emma has been involved in the delivery of a broad range of projects ranging from high end housing through to office refurbishments.
Dawn is an experienced PA, providing a complete secretarial and administrative support. She started her career path to becoming a PA as a cashier for Bradford and Bingley. Having held the responsible and confidential position of PA for several years, within industries renowned for their precision and pressure, Dawn now supports our business with her HR expertise and business acumen.
